  Since I was very young, we always sent out for our Pa. Doe License. Seems simple enough, but we went through great strides to make sure our entire family were ready! First collected all the applications and always drove them to Jim Thorpe, dropping them in the mail box out in front of the post office, never too early, and absolutely never late! There were never enough to go around and every year even less. In recent years I was injured and I would not be able to hunt that area, but a crossbow loaded by someone else would be my go to. I sent in to my local area and we made a very insignificant error on our application. Since the apps were submitted as a group and because of my error my daughter, wife and my app was DENIED. Well, sure enough I made an error in 2017 on our apps. but this time back to Carbon County, my ID number was off a digit. So, anywhere else, DENY!. Now Ed(Carbon County's Treasurer), who I do not know , never met, gives me a call(personally). He went out of his way because in his words, he knows it means a lot to us as sportsmen, as well to our families. All I know is there are very few people who go out of their way to do their job and actually take the time/effort to care. Thank you, Ed Sheehan. Respectfully, The Augustine's -Catasauqua-
